The complexity and mixed-use nature of the building required a clear façade strategy capable of responding to varying programmatic, technical and architectural requirements. To establish this framework, I developed a series of façade demarcation drawings defining and organizing the different façade systems across the building. The demarcations responded to variations in program, internal use, geometry, environmental performance and architectural expression, balancing these requirements while maintaining a coherent overall design. The resulting façade types established the organizational framework for the continued development and coordination of the façade package. These drawings served as an important interface between the architectural design and its technical development, allowing individual façade conditions to be understood within the context of the building as a whole and forming the basis for the subsequent development of façade typologies and details.
